What they don't tell you is that you may not make anything. Usually these ads are selling a how-to program that tells you how to be a web developer, affiliate or other type of Internet business entrepreneur. Most people looking for a job online want something where they work for a company who pays them as if they were an employee.

There are some honest work from home Internet business opportunity jobs in fields like medical and legal transcription, medical and legal document coding and virtual call centers. Virtual call centers hire remote workers to accept calls from their homes. This is done because it saves the company a lot of money. Jobs like these are usually advertised on sites like Monster or found through word of mouth on work at home job sites. Work at home job sites and forums can be the perfect place to learn more about the legitimate opportunities available to you.
